FORT SMITH, Ark. — Discover Fort Smith is announcing the appointment of Douglas Bienenfeld as Director of Sales. With more than 30 years of experience in hospitality, convention, and destination sales, Bienenfeld will lead efforts to attract meetings, conventions, and events that generate overnight stays, increase visitor spending, and drive economic impact across the Fort Smith region.
Bienenfeld brings a strong background spanning convention and visitors bureaus, full-service hotels, and industry associations. Throughout his career, he has consistently exceeded sales goals, built lasting relationships with meeting planners, and helped destinations grow their meetings and events business—delivering measurable results in room nights, attendance, and local revenue.
