The Junior League of Fort Smith (JLFS) is thrilled to announce the return of its signature benefit car show, Cars for a Cause, taking place Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00AM - 2:00PM at The Village at Heritage in Barling, AR.
This exciting community event will bring together car enthusiasts, families, and local businesses for a day of fun while supporting a meaningful mission. We anticipate welcoming over 150 show cars and hundreds of attendees, making this event a wonderful opportunity for Junior League of Fort Smith and local people/businesses to demonstrate their commitment to strengthening our community.
A Celebration with Purpose
The Junior League of Fort Smith is a nonprofit organization of women dedicated to advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Our current community focus is addressing childhood poverty in the Arkansas River Valley through community education, advocacy, and partnerships with organizations that serve children and families in need.
Cars For A Cause plays a vital role in advancing this mission by:
Developing Community Leaders
The event provides hands-on leadership and training opportunities for JLFS members, equipping women to lead impactful projects and initiatives throughout the region.
Supporting Children and Families in Need
Proceeds from Cars For A Cause help fund JLFS community impact projects, including:
● A Children’s Book Drive led by JLFS Advocacy and Impact in a Day Committees
● A Bedding Drive benefiting Sleep in Heavenly Peace, ensuring children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep
● Supporting 26 children through Angel Tree in partnership with Arkansas Family Alliance
● Collecting nearly 400 pairs of socks through the JLFS New Member Class in partnership with Lee’s Custom Apparel
● Ongoing efforts to address period poverty through JLFS’s Dignity for All Committee, providing essential hygiene products to those in need
● Providing volunteers throughout the community to support our local partners:
○ Antioch’s Thanksgiving in the Park,
○ Donating freezer meals to The Call
○ Participating in Ghouls on Garrison & Trick or Trails
○ Hosting at the Creekmore Holiday Express ○ Hosting trauma informed Parent Training Nights
○ Participating in The Call’s Bunny Breakfast and Fun Run
○ Working alongside state advocates
By attending, sponsoring, or donating, supporters help JLFS invest in both women leaders and the children they serve—creating meaningful change across our community. Funds raised through Cars for a Cause directly support programs and partnerships that help children in our community gain access to essential resources, opportunities, and support systems that can change the trajectory of their lives.
