Main Street Fort Smith announced today the recipients of its Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Mini-Grant Program, awarding a total of $16,000 in grant funding to support eight downtown improvement projects that strengthen safety, preservation, and visual appeal in the heart of Fort Smith.
When combined with required matching funds and additional project costs, the awarded projects represent more than $101,000 in total private investment in downtown Fort Smith. The awards were announced during a public ceremony held at The Cooler Room at The Bakery District.
FY26 Mini-Grant Program Award Recipients:

• 524 Garrison Avenue — $1,000 | Nextgen Development Partners, LLC
• 701 Rogers Avenue — $2,000 | Prohibition
• 723 Garrison Avenue — $1,000 | Littlefield Investments / Southland Management Group
• 812 Garrison Avenue — $7,500 | The Kress LLC
• 817 Garrison Avenue — $500 | Majestic Fort Smith
• 1201 Garrison Avenue — $2,000 | Mark Kincannon
Projects funded through the FY26 Mini-Grant Program include exterior lighting upgrades, façade improvements, historic preservation efforts, and other enhancements that contribute to a safer, more welcoming downtown environment.
“These projects represent more than individual improvements: they reflect a shared commitment to downtown Fort Smith,” said Amanda Hager, Executive Director of Main Street Fort Smith. “When we support local reinvestment, we’re strengthening the entire district and setting the stage for long-term economic vitality.”
The FY26 Mini-Grant Program is designed to leverage small, strategic investments into meaningful private reinvestment, strengthening downtown Fort Smith block by block, while supporting local property and business owners.
